FOOT LOCKER X FAST LANE
As Australia's running community continues to evolve, Foot Locker identified an opportunity to create a platform that blended performance, culture and community. The result was FAST LANE - a new experiential running series designed to bring together runners, creators and sneaker enthusiasts through unique, one-of-a-kind experiences.
For the inaugural event, Foot Locker transformed Sydney's historic Wynyard Tunnels into an exclusive neon-lit running experience. Combining a 5km run with live DJs, food and drinks, exclusive merchandise and immersive brand moments, FAST LANE reimagined the traditional run club and positioned Foot Locker at the centre of Australia's growing running culture.
Working alongside Foot Locker and event partner Fever, SPEAK Communications played a key role in the end-to-end communications and audience engagement strategy. This included managing paid media partnerships, creator engagement, event communications and customer outreach to drive awareness, registrations and attendance. SPEAK secured and managed a mix of paid and non-paid creators, overseeing talent outreach, negotiations, briefing, approvals, content delivery and event attendance.
The team also coordinated promotional activity across a number of leading media and culture platforms, managing relationships with media partners and ensuring the event reached runners, sneaker enthusiasts and culturally connected audiences alike. Alongside this, SPEAK managed communications with Foot Locker customers, overseeing the registration process, winner notifications and attendee communications to ensure a seamless customer journey from entry through to event day.
The result was a highly anticipated launch event that successfully introduced FAST LANE to market and established a new platform for Foot Locker to connect with communities through culture-led experiences, exclusive access and unforgettable moments.
