FOOT LOCKER X THE BOOMERS

We pride ourselves on creating impactful and memorable campaigns for our clients. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to work with Foot Locker, a brand deeply embedded in the Australian basketball culture, on a project that highlights and celebrates their partnership with the Australian men’s national basketball team, the Boomers.

Foot Locker is more than just a retailer for basketball shoes, apparel, and accessories; they are the home of hoops. Their commitment to the basketball community in Australia spans from grassroots initiatives to supporting elite athletes. This dedication is epitomised by their partnership with the Boomers, a team that embodies the pinnacle of Australian basketball excellence.

Our team worked closely with Foot Locker and Basketball Australia to manage the campaign from end to end, ensuring a seamless and impactful execution. We orchestrated a national media blitz to announce the partnership, distributing a press release and various media assets to ensure widespread coverage. We worked closely with the teams on their content filming day with the Boomers, capturing engaging footage for Foot Locker's social media channels providing fans with an inside look at the team.

Foot Locker’s commitment to nurturing future talent was showcased at the Opals & Boomers Super Camp, where 500 participants received vouchers and prizes. This event was a fantastic way to connect with young athletes and inspire the next generation. The excitement continued with the first team appearance at Foot Locker's QV store in Melbourne. Seven players participated in a mini press conference, took part in one-on-one interviews with top tier sports, news and lifestyle media, and engaged with fans during a VIP meet and greet session. This event was a unique opportunity for fans to interact with their basketball heroes up close.

Through this comprehensive management approach, we not only celebrated the profound impact of basketball across Australia but also connected with Foot Locker’s valued customers and inspired aspiring athletes. The collaboration highlighted the importance of community and the power of sport to bring people together.
